Etta James

Etta James 1938 - 2012.
I promise you that at one time she did have an afro.
She always had a truly amazing voice.

She was discovered by Johnny Otis who died last Tuesday.

Comic Pages 2

After doing a few things with Brendan I decided to try a strip by myself.
Pete Milligan wrote a four part story for me called Tribal Memories and it was published in 2000AD sometime in the late 80's.
The samples above are a few of the more successful pages.

Comic Pages 1

Most of the work I did under the name of RIOT consisted of caricature but occasionally I tried my hand at something else.
Here are some Judge Dredd pages I did with the aforementioned Brendan McCarthy for 2000AD annuals in the late 80's.
I've tried to pick examples where I, at least, can see evidence of my input.
Those who are familiar with Brendans work and have seen the original pages will be aware that I have added very little to the mix.

Brett Ewins

Brett is an old friend of mine and this drawing was done when we were both much younger.
A comic artist himself, Brett was the first to publish Jamie Hewlett's Tank Girl in a magazine called Deadline.
A book of his own work "THE ART OF BRETT EWINS" is available from Amazon at a very reasonable price.
