This was Ted in his prime.

U.S. President 1977 - 1981.
Aaah, the good ol' days.

Time for a few politicos.

Another, previously, unpublished drawing.

Elvis Costello.
The first one was drawn for the Christmas issue of New Musical Express in 1977

...and this one was commissioned by Melody Maker a year later

For what it's worth, I'm with Public Enemy on this one.
Time Out continued to use me, mainly to illustrate their film review page, but it wasn't long before I started working for the music press.
.

I think the Abba drawing was done for Melody Maker. This second Chuck Berry I did for myself and has never been published

This drawing of Chuck Berry was, I think, the first picture I ever had published. It was commisioned by Time Out the London listings magazine sometime in the mid to late seventies.
My intention is to use this site to publish a bunch of old drawings, [caricatures, for the most part] that, otherwise would lay unused and unseen. I haven't done this sort of work, commercially at least, for about twenty years, so, as some subjects have waned into obscurity, some images will need a little explanation but apart from that I will let the drawings speak for themselves and hope they find a generous audience with good, long memories.
